The Lauder Employment Center for Employment Advancement in the Negev-Galilee is a non-profit organization established in the Negev in 2015. In 2020 the center expanded its activities to the Galilee. Our goal is to connect and motivate the employment world and to initiate meetings between employers and potential high-quality academic employees, which will bring about change that will better the regions and their populations.
Over the past decade we have accumulated contacts and experience that have enabled us to understand and map the requirements, difficulties and employment opportunities that exist in the Negev and Galilee, and have thereby succeeded in connecting between scores of companies in the entire Negev region with thousands of quality employees, who through our initiatives, have advanced their careers and who now call the Negev and Galilee their home.
Our significant contacts include hospitals, academic institutions, leading civil employers, hi-tech and industry companies, regional councils, government and security companies, employment services, youth centers, etc.
We have three focal centers of activity, located in Beer Sheba, Acre and Kiriat Shemona, that support three principal audiences: job seekers, companies and organizations, and small businesses, through the provision of accessible tools, knowledge, content and connections that will advance the possibility of finding quality work in their professions in the Negev and Galilee. The tools we provide include professional workshops, lectures by professionals, individual guidance, centralized interview days, writing CVs, and more. We also operate special programs addressed to various audiences according to their particular and pertinent requirements. These audiences include the Bedouin society, small businesses, evacuees from Israel’s envelopes, new immigrants, etc.
The USA Jewish National Fund is one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the Jewish world and has been in existence since 1901.
The JNF’s strategic vision is ensuring a strong and flourishing future for the people of Israel, which it does through a wide range of activities designed to reinforce the Negev and Galilee. These activities include the establishment of homes and parks, water solutions, assistance to special needs populations, promoting tourism, supporting the immigration of world Jewry and establishing medical centers in places remote from hospitals, in order to encourage settlement in these regions.
We believe that a strong Negev and Galilee are the key to a strong and growing Israel.
Within the Lauder Employment Center Negev-Galilee, the JNF USA created a coalition of employers and company unions, employment organizations and local authorities, in order to offer young people in the Negev a wider range of quality positions and to assist in connecting between young people and employees. In this way the organization endeavors to enable and encourage many young people to remain in the Negev after graduation and to build their homes there.
